October 5th 2009
Filming has officially started with a bang! I took a trip from California to New York to go to a
memorable event near the Hudson featuring the 84th birthday of environmentalist Helen Gardner
(see http://www.earthsocietyfoundation.org). We got some great interviews and were graced with
the wonderful and classic music of the legendary Pete Seeger. Pete had performed "Happy
Birthday" for Helen 40 years earlier for Helen alongside Shirley Temple on the same river. Check
